Home > FAQ Will the Mahers be coaching the actual camp? Yes, Anthony and Matt are very involved with all the coaching aspects of camp. I write the coaching plan from minute one to the last minute of camp for all ages and groups. I then coach it to my staff to make sure everyone at camp is learning exactly what I want them too. I then rotate from group to group every 10-15 minutes coaching at each group. This way exercises and games are smooth, organized, and efficient which maximizes the learning potential for your child at camp. What do I get for my money? Philadelphia KiXX Gie-Aways(www.kixxonline.com) What does my child need to bring? Your child needs to bring water, sunscreen, cleats, shin guards, and a ball. Do you have insurance? Yes, our camp is fully insured. Will my five year old be playing with the Fifteen year olds? No, players at camp are grouped in appropriate age groups. Usually I split them up by 4-6, 7-9, 10-11, and 12-14 year olds. However if a player stands out in a group I will move them up or down an age group to make sure they are challenged at their own level. Can a camper still come to camp if their schedule only allows them to come to part of it? Yes, if Anthony Maher is informed ahead of time; pro rates are available. What happens if there is a weather issue? Any concern of weather and you should call the Camp Site Location which is on the camp registration form. Also you can call Anthony Maher at 609-374-4552 and his phone will be set up like a hotline with specific directions on what to do. Who are the coaches that the Mahers hire to help? We hire current and former professional players and Top level college players ONLY!! Pro Touch is very unique in this aspect. All of our coaches have past experience coaching. Our reason for hiring this way is because we want to use them as a motivational tool for campers. We want to show the campers that the staff and we all were in their shoes at one point, but we worked hard and tried to learn as much as we could and went on to make it at the next level. What will my child learn at camp? Your child will learn how to become a young professional. By that I mean he or she will learn how to have a good attitude, work hard, be a good team mate and always be willing to learn new things. Campers will also learn the little tricks of the trade that I know now that I wished I would have known at their age. What is the player to coach ratio? The player to coach ratio is low. Usually 12 players per one coach, plus when I rotate around it becomes two coaches. Can I leave my child at camp or do I have to stay and watch? Parents, family members, and friends of the family are always invited to come out and watch, but that does not mean you have to. Feel free to drop them off at the start of camp and come back to pick them up at the end of camp. The last forty-five minutes of camp is always the final game of the day and I always encourage parents to come out and watch their kids for that. NOTE: First Day of camp parents are encouraged to attend camp opening ceremonies and introductions on Monday mornings. When does the camp ceremony take place? It takes place on the last day of camp when all players receive their camp certificates and evaluations. The soccer part of camp will end 30-45 minutes early this day for the end of camp presentation. All awards, prizes, and autographs will be done then. I highly recommend that all parents attend this with their cameras because their will be plenty of Kodak moments. Don’t worry if you don’t have a camera because my paparazzi (my mom) will be taking pictures and all campers will have at least one-two pictures posted on my website. All pictures on the site are free for you to download. Maher Brothers Pro Touch Soccer Camps will have the awesome pleasure of bringing other GUEST Professional Athletes for Camp ceremony, autograph, and character talks on Fridays!!!! Check website for updates and announcements. Additional Information Water will be supplied as well as a Sport Drink. Pizza will be offered for lunch at all camp sites for Full Day Campers only. The offer includes 2 slices of pizza and one drink per day for $4 a day or $20 for the week. If interested, please bring lunch money with you to camp. Do not include lunch money in registration.
